 CD #1 is heavy-duty King Tubby & the Aggrovators rhythms, one huge tune after another. It certainly is roots and the tracks certainly are classics! CD #2 is mostly 1990s cuts with a few pretty good 1980s tunes. Fortunately, they sequenced the tracks so the 1970s recordings are all on CD #1 and the rest are on CD #2. Given the awesome content of CD #1 we’re giving this the Ernie B “Essential Pick” status. Excellent mastering, and fine packaging as well. |
