 Perfect introduction to the voice of the "mellow canary", a voice so clear it can actually freshen the air in a room. With perhaps the exception of VP Records' "Too Experienced: Best of Barrington Levy", this is the best Barrington Levy CD on the market. Includes utlra-heavy late 70s sound of "Bounty Hunter" and "Shine Eye Gal", the Roots Radics backed "Prison Oval Rock", the brilliant Witty's production "Teach The Youth" on the Mr. Bassie rhythm, and of course two of the biggest reggae tunes EVER: "Under Me Sensi" and "Here I Come". EVERYONE likes Barrington; forgive the pun but his appeal really is "broader than broadway". If you want to convert a friend to REGGAE MUSIC then start them with this CD. |
