Audiophile-quality can refer to any combination of the following item characteristics: mastering technique (LP or CD), vinyl pressing quality, record jacket construction, etc. Some items may be denoted as being audiophile solely because of the mastering, while others may qualify just because of how the record was pressed. In other cases the entire processes of mastering, pressing and jacket construction may all be audiophile quality.

Our rule for advertising an item as “audiophile” is that if the record label advertises the item as audiophile then we will use the generic term “audiophile-quality” on our website.
