Well, it starts of sort of stuck in the mud, plodding through some peculiar 1986 computerized Sly & Robbie cuts like Tarzan and Rambo, then in the middle of the CD ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE and it takes off like a top fuel dragster with the 1981-1986 cuts! The mastering is out of this world - so loud, crisp and hard-hitting that I was floored when I heard it (and I've heard a lot of reggae since 1985). No idea how they got this type of sound on a CD! When you hear MURDERER STYLE, YOUNG GIRL BE WISE and the other early 80s cut you'll be rocking and skanking to deep, thick bass and snappy, lively drums. TOTALLY INSANE! It has a few so-so cuts but the there's 10+ killers on here. Note that there's 17 tracks, not 18. |
